Usopp Gets Sick| Usopp X Crew| Pt. 6. Brook/Luffy

Summary:  Usopp gets sick, and it's up to his nakama to help him get better!

The the mood grew awkward until Brook came dancing into the room "My dear long nosed freind! I was told that you suddenly became ill!" he skipped into the room "Oh Franky! Am I interrupting your time with him?" he tilted his head to the side.
"Ah. Hahaha! Not really, I just setup a fan for him, I've got a SUPER long list of things I need to get done today, so I'll leave him in your care now, Brook!" He gave him a thumbs up before walking past him to leave.

"I guess I expected to see you today too." Usopp chuckled. 
"Well of course! Everyone was so worried before!" Brooke sat on the desk and pulled his violin out. "Shall I play you a song?" 
Usopp smiled and laid back down on his side, and propped his head up with his hand, "Sure Brooke."

Brook props his violin on his bony shoulder and began to play a sweet lullaby type of song. 
Usopp closed his eyes to listen to the calming tune. The rhythm danced in his chest, he hadn't felt this relaxed in a very long time.
He was always so nervous and on edge, and for the first time in several long years, he was able to just breath, and not worry about his safety. He was in good hands. 

The song played as a low disturbing rumble came from the center of the Sunny, followed by Chopper screaming "DON'T SLAM THAT DOOR!!! YOU HAVE TO BE QUIET AND BE CAREFUL WITH HIM!!!"

The door slowly creaked, and the first thing Usopp saw as the door opened was the worried eyes of his captain pearing in between the cracked door. 

"Luffy!" Usopp sat up and smiled, giving his captain reason to believe that he was healthy again. "Come on in! Sorry I worried you!"

Luffy didn't say a word. He simply stepped inside covered head to toe in mud and grass, carrying a large muddy chest. It was opened and several bizarre objects were crammed into it. Some strange fruits, some beatles, and it looked like some store trinkets too. 
Usopp was taken back from his silence. 


"Luffy, you don't have to worry! I'm feeling all better, I don't even think I'm sick anymore!" Usopp tried to get Luffy to say something, it was just too weird that he wasn't saying anything at all! 

Luffy walked right up to the side of the bed and dropped the muddy chest on the bed with absolutely no thought to it landing on Usopp's legs...which it did. Usopp screeched in pain, scarring Brook from continuing his song. 

"Be careful Captain! He's not doing his best right now." Brook said as Usopp struggle under the weight of the chest.
"L-LUFFY!!!! " Usopp tried to move the chest himself but it was just too heavy for him at that angle. 
Luffy stared for a few moments before taking a deep breath.

"I SAW A STAG BEETLE SO BIG IT WAS LIKE THE SIZE OF MY FACE!!! SO I CHASED IT!!!
AND I FOUND A HUGE TREE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FOREST WITH A HUNDRED OF THEM COVERING THE TREE!!! I BET IF THEY ALL FLEW OFF AT ONE TIME THEY COULD CARRY THE TREE!! SO I CLIMBED THE TREE TO GET THEM TO FLY OFF WITH THE TREE!!
BUT THEN I SAW THAT TREE THERE WAS GROWING THESE WEIRD PURPLE FRUITS! THEY TASTED SO GOOD THAT I BROUGHT BACK A LOT OF THEM!! AND THEN~!!"

Usopp was shocked, 'Has Luffy been waiting for me??' He thought
'This whole time???' he watched Luffy tell his story, barely catching any of it. 
Usopp was brought to his senses with a hard hit on the top of his head, when he looked up he saw Luffy frowning, holding his fisted hand over Usopp's knot. 

"W-WHAT GIVES!?!?" Usopp barked

"Never get sick again! EVER!" He frowned and stuck his tongue out pouting.

"W-whaaaat!?" Usopp choked "YOU HEARD ME!!! NEVER AGAIN! YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED!" Luffy pointed in his face.
After a good long 30 seconds of pouting Luffy smiled and grabbed Usopp's arm tugging him to get out of bed. 

"C'mon! Sanji's making dinner with those fruits! And I remember right were that tree is!" Luffy yanked Usopp out to the deck.
He could see the sun was setting and the sky was bright reds mixed with lively yellows. 
Franky was hanging paper lanterns around the edge of the Sunny, "You're up again! That's Super!" Franky laughed

The grass was chilled and it felt so great after being wrapped up in that blanket!! Usopp grabbed Luffy's arm and started to run.
"I hope you guys aren't going anywhere!" Nami crossed her arms and cocked her hip. "HUH!!??" Luffy shouted in objection
 "Dinner's going to be done soon!" she smiled "Usopp shouldn't really leave the ship until Chopper takes a look at him."
The boys frown still latched to each other's arm, Luffy flops into the soft grass, unintentionally pulling Usopp to the ground too. 

"Ha! Hahahaha!!" Usopp rolls around in the grass feeling refreshed. Seeing Usopp smiling and playing gives Luffy a big smile.
He pounces onto Usopp and starts wrestling with him. 
Nami shakes her head with a smile as Chopper stepped out of the kitchen seeing Usopp rolling around with Luffy. 
"Ah! You're out of bed Usopp!" Chopper chimes as he makes a mad dash down the stairs to join their fun.

Sanji walked out of the kitchen holding the ladies' dinners with Zoro carrying the rest of the plates behind him.
"Dinner~!"
Luffy scramble to his feet and ran after the cook. Chopper clung to Luffy's hip to ensure he got there quickly too. 
Usopp smelled the delicious foods that Sanji made. He felt a warm spot in his chest.

'I'm so lucky.' he thought with a smile.
As he laying in the grass he heard a full mouthed Luffy call to him, "USOPP!! C'MON! FOOD!"

"I'm coming!" he said
He climbed to his feet to join his loving Nakama.
